Safety Protection

Since the introduction of the Control of Noise at Work Regulation 2005, if noise levels exceed 85dB(A) Upper Exposure Level, then the provision & wearing of hearing protection is mandatory. To help assist in the correct choice of hearing protection, the Single Number Rating (SNR) provides an estimate of the average, overall protection a product will give in a noisy environment. An exposure level of 87dB(A) has been introduced & it is this level of noise that must not be exceeded when wearing ear protection.

Example - if the working environment is about 110dB using hearing protection with an SNR of 35 will reduce the noise for the wearer to about 75dB, well below the legal requirement of 87dB.

Hallmark Fraulo Limited offer a range of disposable earplugs, reusable earplugs, banded earplugs & earmuffs from stock.
